How Well Do You Really Know Your Personal Trainer?

What inspired you to become a Personal Trainer?

I was obsessed with self-development before I was obsessed with muscle. I was bullied growing up and was always the odd one out. Training was the first thing that showed me discipline changes everything. Your body, your mindset, your confidence, your income, your life. I became a coach because I realised most people don’t lack potential, they lack standards and structure.

What qualifications and certifications do you hold?

Certificate III & IV in Fitness, First Aid, AIPT Facilitator and Course Educator of Cert III & IV.

What is your training specialty or coaching style?

Results driven hypertrophy and body recomposition.
I blend performance-based training with aesthetics in mind. Structured programming. Progressive overload. Intensity with intent. My coaching style is high standards, high accountability, high belief.

Who do you typically love working with most (beginners, athletes, weight loss, rehab, etc.)?

What makes your training approach different from other trainers?

Most trainers focus on workouts.
I focus on who you become.
You’re not just training for abs, you’re building discipline, resilience and self respect. The physique is the by-product.

What is one thing you're passionate about helping clients achieve?

Confidence. The kind that changes how you walk into rooms, run your business, approach relationships and show up in life.

What is your proudest client transformation or success story?

My client Jordon came to me at 115kgs, with no confidence, no self-respect, no drive, no energy, and felt like a traitor in his own body. Together over the course of a year through many ups and downs we completely transformed who Jordon was as a person and physique-wise. We got him down to 71kgs in just over a year with shredded abs, which was his all-time goal when he was at his heaviest and thought it would be impossible; he even won a trip to Bali for getting shredded. He now walks into the gym and life with confidence knowing who he is; people respect him more because he respects himself more.

What’s one fitness myth you’d love to bust?

“Less is better”, so many people will do the least amount of training required to yield a certain result, the least amount of discipline required to achieve a certain outcome, and the least or most convenient when it comes to barely getting by with your nutrition.

My ideology is the exact opposite. What happens if I show up and give it my best? What happens if I go above and beyond the minimal baseline for success? What happens if I actually challenge myself? For me, that’s when you find out who you truly are. How much you can handle, not how little you can handle.

What’s your favourite workout or training method?

Hypertrophy, favourite movement is definitely the hack-squat. It’s a love/hate relationship which demands at all times the highest level of respect. I love seeing how much my muscles can endure & how far can I push myself. I want to leave the workout knowing I gave it my all.

What’s one fun or interesting fact about you?

I’ve been on reality TV; please don’t watch it. Those were different times 🤣
